Auto testing for website

edited May 2013 in Web Development
Hello everyone,
I am now doing manual testing for website. It is something like testing login page. When user enter wrong password or empty password, it will show error message.
I want to auto fill the username and password by program and test automatically. The program will also get the error message from its ID on webpage.
I don't know how to call. I only know I can download and use and test. I am finding a good and simple tutorial for auto testing. Is there any good tutorial? I would like to know about that.

    Thanks bro. I am now writing like this in intellij. It can automate. Have you used that bro? If so, I would like to know how to wait for this id="result_error". I can wait like this for title.
title == "Testing | Login Credential"
    But I don't know for id.

You entered an invalid email address. Please enter a different email address.

    def "Login "(){
    username = "[email protected]"
    password = "password"

    waitFor {title == "Test | User Profile"}
